Definition:
Under general supervision of the Board of Directors, the General Manager shall manage Company operations to provide customers with a safe and reliable water supply; provides professional and technical staff support, and reports to the Board; coordinates all Company activities with Federal, State, County, local and private agencies. Performs additional duties as required.

Distinguishing Characteristics:
This single incumbent position reports directly to the Board of Directors. The scope of work is highly complex in nature with management responsibility over all units of the water company. Incumbent works from general directives or broadly defined missions of the organization. Erroneous decisions or recommendations could result in failure to achieve critical goals and objectives and may seriously affect the ability of the organization to meet its overall long-term objectives. Directly supervises the work of Office Manager and Operations Manager.
